How to Use

  1. Power on the device away from the surface to be scanned and set the function switch to Mode 1 (metal detection). Use the rotary dial to calibrate until the light and alarm are both off.
  2. Hold the detector parallel to the wall surface and slowly sweep the detection bar (DETECT) across the area — the alarm and light will trigger when metal or a pipe is detected.
  3. To scan for live AC wires, switch to Mode 2 and slowly move the detector left and right across the detection zone. An alert signals the presence of a live wire.
  4. When finished, always switch off the power to conserve battery life.
