Adjustment Guide
Voltage Adjustment
With power connected and no load, use a flathead screwdriver on the V-ADJ potentiometer. Turn clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease output voltage. Adjust in small increments due to large output capacitance. Default factory output: 19V.
Current Adjustment
Turn the A-ADJ potentiometer counterclockwise ~30 turns to set current to minimum, then connect your load and turn clockwise to the desired current. Default factory output: 3A. Do not use a short-circuit method to adjust current on boost modules.
Low Battery Protection Adjustment
Connect the desired protection voltage to the input, then use a flathead screwdriver to adjust RV1 until the UVLO indicator illuminates. Clockwise increases the protection voltage; counterclockwise decreases it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between the 1200W, 1500W, and 1800W DC-DC boost converter modules?
A: The three variants differ primarily in maximum output power and current capacity. The 1200W 20A model supports up to 18A output current and 83V output voltage. The 1500W 30A model offers up to 20A output current and 90V output voltage. The 1800W 40A model delivers up to 22A output current with up to 90V output voltage and achieves the highest efficiency of up to 98.1%. Choose based on your application's power requirements.
Q: Can I use this DC-DC boost converter module for battery charging?
A: Yes. All three models feature adjustable constant current and constant voltage output, making them well suited for battery charging applications including car batteries, lithium packs, and other rechargeable battery types. Use the A-ADJ potentiometer to set the desired charging current and the V-ADJ potentiometer to set the target charge voltage. For best results, ensure the battery is at a low state of charge before connecting and adjusting.
Q: How do I set the output voltage and current on these boost modules?
A: Use the onboard V-ADJ potentiometer (with no load connected) to set your desired output voltage using a multimeter for precision. Then connect your load and use the A-ADJ potentiometer to dial in the desired current. Always start with the current at minimum before connecting sensitive loads, and adjust upward gradually.
Q: What protections are built into these boost converter modules?
A: All models include multiple protection features: input reverse polarity protection (MOSFET-based), short-circuit protection, low battery (under-voltage) protection, and over-temperature protection with automatic thermal fan control. The 1200W model also includes input overcurrent protection (auto-protection above 25A).
Q: What input voltage range do these boost converter modules support?
A: All three models accept a wide DC input voltage range of 10V to 60V, making them compatible with a variety of power sources including 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V battery systems, solar panels, and bench power supplies.
