Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What fish species are these B&U soft lures designed to target?

A: The B&U SPARKLY 11 soft silicone lures are designed to attract a wide range of predatory fish, including bass, carp, pike, trout, zander, and perch. The realistic shad body profile and flexible silicone action make them attractive to virtually any predatory freshwater or inshore saltwater species.

Q: Which size should I choose for bass fishing in a freshwater lake?

A: For bass fishing in lakes, the 70mm (2.8g) and 85mm (5.1g) sizes are excellent all-round choices — they cast easily on light-to-medium tackle and closely match the size of natural baitfish. For larger bass or when targeting deeper water, the 100mm (7.7g) or 130mm (17.2g) sizes offer more casting distance and a bigger profile.

Q: Can these soft baits be used for saltwater fishing?

A: Yes! These lures are listed as suitable for ocean boat fishing, ocean beach fishing, and ocean rock fishing, as well as freshwater environments such as lakes, rivers, reservoirs, ponds, and streams, making them extremely versatile for both salt and freshwater anglers.

Q: Are these lures rigged or unrigged?

A: These lures come as soft bait bodies (unrigged). You can rig them on your preferred jig head, offset hook, or weedless setup to suit the fishing conditions and technique you prefer.
