Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What fish species is the B&U Silence Sinking Minnow best suited for?
A: The GALAXY M85S sinking minnow jerkbait is primarily designed for sea bass but performs excellently for a wide range of predatory species including pike, trout, zander, and perch. Its versatile sinking action makes it effective in both saltwater and freshwater environments.
Q: What fishing environments can I use this lure in?
A: This lure is suitable for a broad range of fishing positions: ocean boat fishing, ocean beach fishing, lakes, rivers, reservoirs, ponds, streams, ocean rock fishing, and managed fishing fields — making it one of the most versatile hard baits in the B&U lineup.
Q: How should I retrieve this sinking minnow for best results?
A: A twitch-and-pause jerkbait retrieve works extremely well — cast out, allow the lure to sink to your desired depth, then use short, sharp rod twitches followed by a pause to imitate a wounded baitfish. A steady slow retrieve also produces a natural wobbling action that triggers strikes.
