B&U 55mm Slow Sinking Jerkbait – Hard Glide Swimbait for Pike, Bass & Trout
Step up your game with the B&U 55mm Slow Sinking Jerkbait — a precision-engineered hard artificial bait designed to trigger aggressive strikes from pike, bass, and trout. Whether you're casting off a lake bank, a boat, or a river shore, this lure's natural glide action and long-casting design put your bait exactly where the fish are.
Why Anglers Choose This Lure
- Slow Sinking Action: Descends at a controlled rate to stay in the strike zone longer, giving predatory fish the perfect window to attack.
- Jerkbait Swim-Glide Design: Side-to-side glide motion mimics injured baitfish — one of the most irresistible triggers for pike, bass, and trout.
- Long Casting Hard Bait: Aerodynamic body shape and internal weight transfer system allow for impressive casting distances — reach those far-bank fish with ease.
- 55mm Hard Body Construction: Tough, durable hard-bait build withstands repeated strikes and rough conditions.
- Swimbait & Joint Bait Type: Versatile action suitable for a wide range of retrieval speeds and techniques — jerk, pause, glide, or steady retrieve.
- No Electronics, No Chemicals: Purely mechanical action — no batteries, no high-concern chemicals.
- Versatile Fishing Positions: Ideal for ocean boat fishing, ocean beach fishing, lakes, rivers, reservoir ponds, streams, ocean rock fishing, and managed fisheries.

Best Suited For
This lure excels in freshwater and saltwater environments — throw it into lakes, rivers, reservoirs, streams, or cast from the ocean beach or rock ledges. Its realistic glide action works exceptionally well during the pre-spawn and post-spawn periods when bass and pike are aggressively feeding near the surface and mid-water column.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What fish species is the B&U 55mm slow sinking jerkbait best suited for?
A: This jerkbait is specifically designed to target pike, bass, and trout. Its glide-and-pause action closely mimics a wounded baitfish, making it highly effective for triggering strikes from these predatory species in both freshwater and coastal saltwater environments.
Q: What type of water can I use this 55mm jerkbait lure in?
A: This versatile hard bait is suitable for a wide range of fishing environments including lakes, rivers, reservoir ponds, streams, ocean beaches, ocean boat fishing, ocean rock fishing, and managed fisheries. Its slow sinking action adapts well to both calm and moving water.
Q: How should I retrieve the B&U slow sinking jerkbait for best results?
A: The most effective technique is the classic jerk-pause retrieve — cast out, allow the lure to sink slightly into the strike zone, then use short sharp jerks with pauses in between.
